Rattling the Fences

The exhibition “An den Zäunen rüttelnd” (Rattling the fences) was opened on September 9th in Belleparais, Munich.

Dealing with contradictions, resistance and the drawing of boundaries between aesthetic positions and different art disciplines, the show opens conversations ranged from the discrepancies between artwork and artist, questioning the “good” taste – including reflections on political themes like political correctness and critical thinking.

The show plays with the idea of contrasts, but also examines the idea of unexpected possibilities and connections.

Valio Tchenkov curated the exhibition with works by five artists:

Stephan Conrady, Benedikt Grahl, Pravdoliub Ivanov, Valio Tchenkov himself and Lisa Walker.

The exhibition will be available to be seen until November 12th.
